Rehoming > Adoption Procedure
We will be happy to give you further details about any particular animal and they can be seen on a one to one basis with a member of our staff. We endeavour to find the correct pet for your needs and may be able to advise you of the suitability of some animals.
It is also possible to take a particular dog out for a walk if you are interested in offering it a home. (Please bring photo I.D)
Once you have chosen a specific animal we will then arrange for a home-visit to be carried out by one of our trained volunteers.
There are a number of criteria to be met by any potential adopter of which the Home can advise you. All of the members of the household will be required to meet the animal before adoption.
It is our policy to neuter and microchip all animals prior to leaving the Dogs & Cats Home. Our adoption fees are outlined below:
- Female Dogs £110
- Male Dogs £95
- Female Cats £65
- Male Cats £55
- Rabbits £25
- Ferrets £20
- Guinea Pigs £12
- Birds £12*

Price includes neutering; micro-chipping (for cats and dogs), a full vaccinations course and veterinary check and three weeks of after-care at the RSPCA Bristol Animal Clinic.
