Are you a Queen of Confectionary or a Gardening Guru? Or do you have a few hours to spare and would like to make some new friends whilst helping animals in need?
Here at RSPCA Bristol Branch & Bristol Dogs and Cats Home we are busy preparing for our biggest fundraising event of the year, our annual Dog Show and Fun Day at Ashton Court on 20th September. The event promises to be bigger and better than ever before with plenty to occupy the whole family (two legs and four!). There will be market stalls selling a host of gifts and crafts; a Kids Zone with inflatables, rides, face painting and traditional games plus ‘The Doggy Games’; entertaining displays and demonstrations including dog agility; a selection of tasty refreshments; live music and of course the dog show itself with our regional ‘Rescue Dog of the Year’.
However, the special day would not be possible with out the help of our dedicated volunteers. Not only do we require an army of volunteers to help run the event but we are also looking for people to bake a cake for our cake stand or pot a plant to sell on our plant stall or maybe donate an unwanted gift for our tombola or bric-a-brac stall!
Please give Jill a call on 0117 3003962 for more information. Goods can be dropped off at the Bristol Dogs Home or RSPCA Bristol Branch Office on Albert Road, or in the case of cakes and plants, can be delivered to the site at Ashton Court on the morning of the event.
Thank you for your support, we couldn’t do it without you.
