We always have lots of ferrets here at the Bristol Dogs and Cats Home and the numbers just keep on increasing, this is a real shame because they are such lovable creatures, if a little mischievous!

Ferrets are great fun to own as a pet but you need to do your home work. They all have their own individual personalities and work best in a couple or as part of a group as they are very social animals. Interaction with a ferret is very important; they love to have a play and should not be kept in a cage all the time. They sleep for most of the day but love nothing more than some attention when they wake up; toys are a must!
